For xoxo, each of the six members of MATERIAL GIRLS invited another artist to participate by creating an artwork interpreting the prompt to “make a vessel”. All artists co-created a video piece by sharing recorded moments of touch and movement in response to one another in a visual, long-distance version of ‘telephone’ in a group text message.
